I'm Intrigued.

But I've already spent way too much money on shows this month. I will have to put it on the to-do list for 2009.

The Art Directors Gallery

I have to stop this updating 4 times a day once a month business and start updating on a more regular basis. By the way, I updated my links to your right (computer's left), so CLICK AWAY!

Check these out

My December is already filling up with shows to see. Here's what's scheduled for this week that you should check out as well.

Tomorrow night, The Paper Raincoat will be playing at Rockwood Music Hall as part of the Rebel Spirit Music Series. They're a great band and are always fun to see.

Rockwood Music Hall
196 Allen Street
between E. Houston and Stanton
begins at 8pm, but they go on around 10pm

If you can't make it, you should still check out their music by clicking that link above.

Thursday night at Destination Art Space, it's the opening of the second part of their "Show & Sell" art market. You'll get to see the work of Yoko Furusho, Jaz Harold, and Eric Hosford. If you missed the first part, you can check out some of the work by Maki Naro and Jessica Ruliffson online.

SHOW & SELL: The Art Market
December 4 - December 30
at Destination Art Space
32-36 Little West 12th Street
6pm-9pm

Also on Thursday night, Eugene Mirman is performing at Joe's Pub. He is an awesome comedian who you may have seen on Flight of the Conchords as the landlord.

FatSmiles at Joe's Pub
425 Lafayette Street
between E. 4th and Astor
11:30pm
Tickets $10

Speaking of awesome comedians who you may have seen on Flight of the Conchords, I got to see Demetri Martin yesterday at UCB! He was hilarious as always. You must check him out. The BBC special he did called, "If I" is my personal favorite. It's in 6 parts, so make sure you watch all of it. Here it is:

I was lucky enough to get tickets for a live studio taping of his upcoming show, Important Things with Demetri Martin. It may be too late to get some now, but if you want to take a shot at getting some, go here. Type in "Double Hawk" for the code.

So there you have it. Music, art, and comedy--all in one week. Hope to see you there, imaginary reader.

Dead or Alive

I'm not talking about the video game. I'm talking about these sunbathers. Or are they?

These of course came out of doing those decapitation/execution drawings. Enjoy.

Be Ahead

These aren't exactly new, but you haven't seen them yet!

I recently sold this last one. Yay! Does anyone have any tips for pricing artwork? I always seem to have trouble when it comes to my own work.
